Hi to all, this is my first post, so please be patient if I'm not doing the right way.
I use QLC+ since 2015 and I learned almost all I need by reading guides or watching tutorials; I obviously used the search function but I still haven't found what I'm looking for:
how to enable/disable (include/exclude) fixtures (moving head specifically) from a running EFX?
I tried by using XY pad and fixture group presets, but it only works with manual position. When using EFX preset it affects all fixtures as listed in the function and not the ones selected in the pad, the same if I activate EFX from a separate button.
I try to explain better: I have 12 moving heads which are driven by an EFX during almost the whole show but sometimes I need to "unload" one or two of them and reach a fixed position while the others continue moving, or at least I need to stop the EFX, select fixtures to move (excluding the one or two I need to point elsewhere) and restart the EFX.
Is there a way to do that? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for this and for all I've already learned on this forum.
Simone

If I understand you correctly I'd suggest using an EFX in relative mode.
Then the base position of your heads doesn't matter anymore - ergo you can move your 2 heads independently.
If you want to stop those 2 from executing the EFX - this needs a logical operation which isn't present yet.
Only solution would be a dump the EFX steps in a chaser, copy this one and disable the 2 heads. At one moment you use the 'all'-chaser; the other moment 'minus-the-two' chaser...

Ok, thank you for your quick reply!
I'm currently using relative EFXs only, it's much more flexible setup. For the moment I will clone the EFXs removing those heads I want to exclude, but this is difficult to do live. If I want to exclude another one, for example, I'll need to create another EFX, buttons, and so on..
Anyway, it would be useful (I think not only for me) to have this kind of functionality, for dynamic choice during live. Is it planned for (or already present in) QLC 5? Or maybe possible to implement in version 4?
