Just a great outcome to a long process. I play in a band and have been looking for a good lighting solution. I own a couple of chinese knock off LED tree bars and a few chauvet lights. None of the foot controllers worked with my trees. Hence, my quest with QLC.
I went and downloaded the software and began to play with it. I wrote to fixture codes for my trees, both 4 channel and 15 channnels. Put in my chauvet lights and began programming. The beauty of the story came in when I bought a bluetooth iRig Blueboard midi controller and mapped it correctly. WOW! Just what I have been looking for! All our lights are now controlled easily and right at our feet during the gig. We also now use Donner wireless DMX dongles and the cables are pretty much non existant! Crazy cool!
Now I can just continue to build scenes and let my imagination run wild! Thanks to all of you who contriute to this board! Reading these posts have been enlightning and helped greatly. Game on!
