Hello,
is there a way to live change the heigth/width or the relative position of an EFX using a VC fader?
E.g. I want to have an "8" figure starting very little and becoming wider

Through the use of loopback channels you can. There are quit some discussions led about this.
In a loopback universe you create a dimmer. The slider in VC in level mode to that dimmer. The loopback dimmer bound to the width (height) parameter of the EFX.
