[solved} VC button saved MIDI input lost when device is not connected

Hi, on my VC I have a button to activate a show via MIDI. I tested it last night and all was more then great. But today I open the button and the MIDI settings are gone. Is this because the MIDI device is not connected? How do i know that the config is still there or is it gone? Could this be a bug or am I missing something here?

It definitely should remember the input controller config when you save the project.
If the controller isn't connected when you reload the file, you should still see the chosen profile in I/O tab, and the controller element name in the properties dialog your screenshot shows. I just tried that here at home a minute ago, on this laptop which I used to run the show at work in the theater, to make sure, so I' don't know how this happened to you.
The show file is plain XML though, so you can always open it in a text editor and compare to previous versions.
