Audio Trigger without Disable

Is there a way to have an Audio Trigger start a function but NOT disable it? Everytime I use an audio trigger it starts the function but then turns it off the second the audio stops. I want it to only start it and let it run out.

Is this possible?

you could create a latching mechanism by using a feedback channel.

your audio part triggers a cue and this signal is in a feedback universe.
On the VC a chaser is enabled by this feedback signal and holds in it's first step a 'set' to itself...
this chaser stays active unless you reset the feedback signal (so after your stuff is done you give a reset signal to the feedback channel)

That sounds like it could work, but I guess I'm a little uneducated on the loopback/feedback feature.

Let me explain what I'd like to do and then maybe you could help me out with the steps. I have a Cue list (Chaser) Widget in my VC. I need to start that Cue List with an Audio Trigger -- but not have it stop. I only need it to start the cue list and then let it do its thing from there on out.

So would how would I setup the output on the Audio Trigger with the Feedback Universe up properly to have it keep the cue list playing without it stopping?

This solution will involve multiple steps to achieve because you will have to disable the audio retrigger and disable the audio stop function.
That means a lot of feedback thinking has to be done.

out of curiosity - what does this audio trigger sound like? Or are you trying to start something in QLC+ with audio from outside?

It would come as an input from an artists decks. He hits play, it sends an audio signal to QLC, starts the show.

I just wanted to let you know I figured out a solution to my problem!!!

I used an Audio Trigger and a Button within a solo frame in addition to a loopback universe.
- The Audio Trigger starts a Scene that is attached to a Generic Dimmer in the loopback Universe.
- The Audio trigger starts that scene which is set as the input on my Cue List -- The "Playback" input is set to Universe 2 and to that Generic Dimmer.
- I created a button that I attached to the Chaser (The Cue List).
- I then put both the audio trigger and button into a solo frame.

When the Audio triggers the Button/Cue List, the Audio Trigger turns off -- it can no longer disable the Cue List.

Hey djhurt,

I can't share my workspace because it contains unreleased tracks from the artist, but I'm planning on doing a video detailing how I'm using QLC+ to run an entire timed EDM show including lighting/visuals with just the push of a button on the artists decks. You can expect that sometime in February to see how I used it.

Thanks!
