QLC+ using 5gb of computer's RAM

Hi, I have just been messing around with QLC+ 5 to have a look at it,
I went to a different app and soon it was using around 7GB of RAM memory even with no interface!
I had to force quit it on the mac as I was running out of memory! :cry:
Was there anything wrong with it?
