I can consistently start 4.11 and watch the sync light on the device go into "transmit" mode .. and when testing with 4.12 .. it consistently fails to initialize. I've tried rescanning and it doesn't reset. Any help?

So .. with further testing .. this may be crappy OSX USB drivers.. seems consistent on other OS. *sigh*

Can you please elaborate "it consistently fails to initialize" ?
Is the Ultra micro in the outputs list or not at all ?
If it is and click on it, what does the information panel below says about the driver in use ? QtSerial or libFTDI ?

Hey .. says QtSerial. And it seems inconsistent between the different versions.. not sure why. Right now I have to cycle a few times to get the USB dongle to go into Transmit (fast blink) mode. I'll do some more testing this weekend and try to put up some screen shots.

Just as a further update .. this seems related to the OS .. NOT the QLC .. I can't get it to init under Mojave consistently at all. Tried unloading the FTDI kext and the OS crashed. OPen to testing whatever you'd suggest for tesitng.. I did validate the dongle works on qlc+raspi+ola
