Is there any dj's here in the group? im just looking for help or tutorial on how to create a non complicated light show for djing. i used the efx wizard to create a few movements however i can't get the light to turn on while the moving heads are in motion and i also just want to be able to push a button for strobe and color changes here and there and also being able to have the light point to the crowd instead of going everywhere. thanks for your help in advance.

Button for strobe:
- create scene with strobe channel only, set it to on
- create scene with strobe channel only, set it to off
- create solo frame
- create buttons for the scenes in the solo frame
- (optional) assign keyboard shortcuts for the button

you have to push one button to start the strobe and the other to turn it off again.

Point lights to crowd:
- create scenes with pan/tilt channels only, set them to the desired position.

Just one idea if this isn't solved yet: Did you check to see if your fixtures has a MIB (move-in-black) function and whether or not it is enabled or disabled?

Hi , I also have a drive-in show and I had the same "problem". The solution is simple: buy a Korg Nano Kontrol 2 !

It's awesome what this tiny thing can do for you, and the price is just around 50 euro !!
Do it as written above, create some scenes and simply assign them to a button or slider on the Nano kontrol and you're done.

I used the Korg a lot, but now I stepped it up a little and I bought a 22" ELO touchscreen. It displays the virtual console and in fact this looks very professional and works even better then the NanoKontrol.

Enjoy !
Fist make it work, then make it look pretty.

MiB (Man in Black - sorry - joke)
MiB (serious now) is a hardware feature built in fixtures.
Besides MiB you can find Gib (gobo change in black), Cib (colour -) and the lot.

If your fixture doesn't have this feature built in, you will have to simulate this within your programming.
So a move will have to have these steps: dim to 0, move to pos, dim to x <- and here you will hit your first problem that the 'x' value is set fix which doesn't come handy if you want to change overall view. So you will have to use submasters etc etc ... getting things quite complicated.

(when you set timing to 0ms and using LED fixtures - this will cause a lot of flickering on your stage because of the hard 'off + move + on' values ...)
