Hello everybody,
After some time, I managed to make som shows with QLC+ 4.12. Some of them were simple, and some of them, more complicated. All of the shows were controlled by mouse, or by mapped keys on my keyboard. A few days ago, I decided to attach my Midicon to the program to start using it as my basic midi controller. But this gave me a headache enough to post here and make some questions.
First of all, is there a way to map a "select group" function on a button? In Midicon there are 12 touch keys, That I'd like to map them as a group (of fixtures, not channels) selector.
I tried to make a custom mapping and realized that if there is a way to map a group on a button, perhaps there's a way to make a multipage encoder frame to control functions of the group, even in operate mode as an override.
Second question is....How can I control an encoder to increase or decrease a value (of intensity, or anyting else)? It asks me to catch up with external controller, but doesn't give the option to set high, or low values.
As for the pages, I mapped them on the selection buttons at the top of the controller. Three multipage frames with the six selection keys, all in midi channel 1.
I assume that more questions will come up after the answers that I may get to those first questions.
To be honest, I tried to find similar posts but haven't found anything, so, if there's something I'm missing, forgive me and please show me the right post to read.

So far, I have no problems with the software, and I find iti rock solid to all of it's functions. Please, show me the way to become a happy user....

P.S. Any info asked will be provided from me to help anyone understand more of what I'm trying to do...

Sorry for the big post
Thanks a lot
Best regards

Edit: Perhaps this is a more general midi request, but since I use Midicon, I post it that way...

I think I see where you want to go ... programming functions inside QLC+ using the midicon ...
Well sorry to say - you can't (yet)
The only possibility is to create a develop VC and then use your midi-device to alter values and make a DMX dump. Much effort for little outcome if you ask me.

The midi devices used here are mostly used for busking during showtime. So all functions have to be kind of prepared and fired using sliders, rotaries, knobs, pages and the like.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I see what you mean. To be honest, I don't relly have any issue with the software, but, since I come from Elation Emulation and in that software Midicon is its HID compatible controller, based on the software itself, I wondered if there's a way to make it like that...Never mind
I really believe that QLC+ plus is a really powerfull software with many capabilities.
Thanks a lot again
Best regards...

I’m looking at getting the midicon 2 to use with a relatively small lighting rig for live show performance for a single band. Not using as a rental or multiple acts. All LED fixtures. Is this a good console to use with QLC?

Looking forward to some responses thank you
