Hello everyone! I've been using the wonderful QLC+ app for over a year now and this is my first post here.
I'd like to adress a problem I've encontered recently, which begs for a new feature.
Since my last project got a bit big now, I sometimes strugle with adding new functionality to it,
mainly because my first project is a well working, but a total mess in fuction list beast.
The feature which I'd like to be added to the app is a button located in -button / cue list / etc- properties which
will guide me to the specific function in the fuction tab. The arrow in the screenshot points to the proposed feature button placement.
what do you think? Personally I think this would be a big help for people like me whose got a big qlc project which they aren't so familiar with anymore.

In QLC+ 5 there are search boxes almost everywhere. You just need to wait for it to be stable.

If you are brave enough you can try and search inside the project file ... it's a plain .XML file.

My suggestion is that you utilize the folders in the functions list. I have a relatively small show file but because of the immense number of functioning channels, and capabilities of my fixtures, I have a sizable number of functions to make it all work. I have a very comprehensive Folder list with groups of functions within them. Such as "Front LED Par Colors" "Front LED Stobes" "Front LED Dimmers" All the functions that are related or similar in function are grouped for easy adjustment. Likewise, all my functions are quite specific - "Front LED Pars RED" "Front LED Pars Split RED-Green" or "Front LED Par Strobe Odd" Front LED Par Strobe Even". I understand where you are coming from with a link button that takes you to the currently assigned function, but if you design the show right, and container all the functions together, and stay ahead of your organization system, your back end of editing and programming will be so much easier.
