Hi QLC Folks
First I have to excuse my bad english. Im new to QLC+ and have a pretty basic question.
I have 3 installations of QLC+. One on Windows 8.1, one on MacOS X El Capitan and one on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+.
On my Windows computer a have created a QLC Projekt. It uses 4 Fixtures. I have created them with the Fixture editor.
These fixtures I can export as a .qxfl file and import them in other Projekts on my Windows machine. But it is not possible to import them on macOS and the Raspberry Pi. If i open the .qxfl file there, all channels are defined as dimmers, all symbols of the device type are lacking. Also there is no mode selectable.
What am I doing wrong?
I have the same issues when I copy the fixture files individually. But very strange is that i can open, edit and safe the fixtures with the fixture editor on the other operating systems. There the correct icons are visible and the channeltype also is correct. What is also wrong there is the mode. It seems that the mode is somehow not stored. I can add a mode, safe the file, close it, open it again and the mode disapears.
Thank you all for your help,
kind regards,
Jonas

Hi, you're confusing a fixture list (qxfl) with the actual fixture definitions.
The qxfl file is just a list of the fixtures you used in a project. It doesn't include the whole fixture definitions.
You need to copy the custom definitions on the other machines, and then you can use the qxfl file.

Hi Massimo
Sorry if that was not fully understandable. The fixture definitions are copied to the User-fixtures folder. I have the same problems if i try to only use one of these fixtures i have created. It's very strange because on my Windows Pc everything is running great.
Kind regards,
Jonas

No, I don't have a solution yet. Until now my workaround is to create my scenes and shows on a Windows computer. The created project I can import on my Raspberry Pi. The fixtures then also are not working, but I don't need them anymore.
