Since this is a QLC+ forum, not everybody knows how camsys works.
Can you please elaborate your request and in case provide a screenshot of what you've seen in camsys ?

1st off ... it's called chamsys
Fanning is a way to automatically add some spread to anything (Dim, color, position, zoom, frost, ...).
f.i.: 3 heads (A B C) pointing down center. With the fan-option going +30 value on the tilt will result in C +30, B +20, A+10 so now there is an even spread after the move.
In general this is very usefull but can be very complex (to program / to understand). The complexity comes from the way fan-parameters have to be entered to achieve the wanted effect. Also the speed fanning is applied to (linear, curve-linear, hyperbolic, ...) can lead to very undesiderabel effects after all (near impossible to debug <- believe me !! because it is dynamic efx added onto dynamic EFX)
@massimo - if you want this done right you have to understand that the parameter behind fanning can be very complex. In this matter forget Chamsys and look to GrandMa ...
To give you an example what fanning can do:
Say you have 8 heads A to H pointing down center.
enter >MAtricksWings2 + [Please] + [NEXT]
now you have 2 groups of 4 heads selected (4 left A-D / 4 right E-H)
enter >AT 0 THRU -50 THRU 0 + [Please]
changing the tilt value + 30 will result in
will end up in A +30 , B -15, C -15, D +30, E +30, F -15, G -15, H +30 (notice the ability to automatically detect the way a group of 4 cannot be divided in 3 so B, C act the same)
This effect is applied dynamically. Say the time to tilt +30 value in example above is set to 2s... means that A, D, E and H start first - doing their tilt. At about the +15 value (half way = 1s) the B, C, F and G did start moving slowly to the oppositie direction and together they achieve their new position after 2s, being +30 and -15...
I can alter this in a way that I want them to start moving in sequence. So first A & D, E & H - then after an offset, B & C, F & G ...
and so on and so on.
Storing this into a cue INCLUDES this fan effect (imagine that)
This can be very very complex and is calculated internally on the fly on the spot <- and here I see enormous difficulties to program. (The EFX engine of MA is huge (!))
Sorry for the lengthy post, I wanted to elaborate...

Hello everyone.
The FAN function is very useful, but as Fredje comments it can be very complicated, of course if we look at chamsys, grandMA, tiger ... when the FAN function is so extensive it can be very complicated, but, if we look at the pearl? that old table cloned by the Chinese that all small and not so small companies buy and have .. (the Chinese clone of avolites pearl) .. In Pearl apply the function FAN to a group of fixtures for PAN, it simply reverses the direction of PAN, TILT.. of half of the fixtures of the group, that is, of 6 fixtures, 3 rotate left and 3 right like mirror, similar to when you invert PAN/TILT in the fixture menu, the difference would be that with FAN the fixtures of the extremes will be open more degrees, like a fan, with 5 fixtures or odd the central fixture will not move neither left nor right ... Thinking of a function FAN in QLC .... I do not see that it is necessary or mandatory to create a good show , I think that if it is a very useful function, it can help to position your fixtures faster ect .... in summary: it seems an interesting function, not of necessity necessity, but if to take into account ...

A fanning function would be fantastic in QLC. I cannot stress enough, as well as a single fixture/step ahead function would be. This is the ability to quickly select a single fixture to focus, color, etc. and to quickly move to the next consecutive fixture to do the same. On the Chamsys, this function is known as "Single," which is located by "Locate," "Fan," "Highlight," ect. functions. On the MA, it's known as the "Solo" command, by the "Full" and "HighLight" commands. QLC is making strides to coming on par with programming time of major consoles, and I believe these two functions would drastically cut down the programming time it takes to create positions, as well as creating complex looks, quickly.

I am convinced.
Fanning is officially in the QLC+ 5 TODO list!

Do I feel a new crowdfunding round coming our way now?
Thank you Massimo for your efforts ... the QLC+ Fan function will be a winner I'm sure.

I have attached a video from Kat at act light going over all the different lines of this effect, however the position portion of this effect will be more difficult the way qlc is currently setup because in ma2 the home position is 0 pan, dmx value 127 and 0 tilt, dmx value 127 then uses value + and - degrees.
The effect such as the synon wave is not running the dmx value from 0 to 255 then back down like in the video you want something like 0 degrees to 50 degrees tilt (from home position)
