I'm 4.11.2 and sending OSC.
The wizard is great, but after getting the hang of it, I wanted to manually edit channels so that I could use unique addresses.
I used names like /switchblade/pan and /switchblade/red
I added channels like '1' and when that didn't work, I used '12345' etc.
Input was received, but when I switched over to virtual console and chose these connections, nothing was found.
The moment I do auto-detect, it finds a channel from elsewhere and then it works great. The input channel says '60491: ?' or something like that.
So I guess my question is, are channels generated in some sort of unique way with the wizard and the manual option is nuanced in a way that I don't understand?

OSC Channel numbers are a hash of the OSC path.
You can use the OSC plugin configuration dialog to calculate them.

Ah-hah! Thanks, that clarifies it perfectly. Is there any OSC support for lists? I'd love to give just one address for a profile and then make a slider matrix that auto-populates to that list length. In any case, that's just a curiosity. I think I'm up and running now.
Thanks again, and looking forward to diving into the next version soon!

I should say that there still seems to be a bit of shakiness (in my knowledge and/or the program) when it comes to identifying the input even after I use the calculator for the channels.
1) I get my channels w/the calculator (e.g. /switchblade/pan -- channel 16161)
2) I manually make profile and input the channels (same as above)
3) In virtual console I select profile OSC address.....and it doesn't work
4) I click autodetect and via OSC (127.0.0.1) I send a value with the address /switchblade/pan and autodetect gives me a channel 16162: ?
At this point, everything works great!
My question: am I missing something?
