Universal knob in VC

I discovered the by group in the knob and slider editor in VC, but what would be nice to have for example knob 1 is pan, and your able to select a fixture or a group a fixture and knob 1 is pan. I know your going to say its already there you can select a group a fixtures and assign that group to a knob but what I am requesting is to have a button in VC that is a fixture or a group a fixture, you select that button and it activates knob 1 for that group or fixture. So as a example if I could put on button 1 all the Martin 2000 and button 2 is claypak beams. I hit button 1 and that activates knob 1 pan for martin 2000, if I select both button 1 and 2 it activates the pan for martin 2000 and claypak. This will be more useful in QLC5 for being able to record scenes from VC
