New fixture not fully working in visualizer

Ask a generic question about the usage of QLC+, not related to a particular operating system

New to QLC+ and the forum.....trying to figure a few basics out.
For the record, I'm currently only working on my laptop, and have not had a chance to try anything while operating actual lights.

I created a new fixture - an American DJ MicroWash WWCW. It doesn't work quite right in the visualizer ("fixture monitor"). It shows up there, and seems to respond just fine when I'm in "DMX View", meaning that the DMX channels do change/respond when I'm adjusting faders/sliders from either "Simple Desk" or a widget I created on my "Virtual Console". But in "2D View" it just shows up as full-on, and does not respond to any fader/slider adjustment.
Any thoughts or ideas as to what the problem might be?

thanks, d.

I'm guessing you have to change your fixture definition.
Since yours has 2 'colors' CW WW I guess you will have to create 2 heads each with its own intensity channel.
Now 2D will show you 2 heads responding.

But again: is just a guess
