Hello,
I ise QLC+ 4.1.1 with an Enttec Mk2 Pro which features a dimx IN port.
But when I connect a mixer like our 48fade scenesetter it ttakes over and QLC cant control anything anymore, until the board is disconnected.
Is there a solution for this? Id really like to be able to influence things live with faders besides QLC+
MTA, East1
When plugging in an external DMX board QLC shorts out

They don't make it very clear, but the device only has two DMX channels. The cable which comes with it has one input and one output connector connected in parallel to DMX1!
This confused me at first. What you're doing is connecting the lighting desk and QLC+ on to the same DMX universe, both of which are sending data at the same time on the same wires.
You'd think they would have the DMX input on a third DMX channel, but no, apparently not. This is more annoying when you look at the price...

Wait a minute ...
through Enttec's PRO software you can tell the interface that channel 1 is input and channel 2 is output. Then you connect your scenesetter to input 1.
Now QLC has to be configured that it uses universe 1 as input from your Enttec input and universe 2 uses the Enttec's output 2.
(You even could tell QLC that input's from your scenesetter have to be feed-through to universe 2)

The way I understand it, the device has two channels, DMX1 and DMX2. They can both be configured as input or output. For some reason the supplied cable has female and male connectors on DMX1 and only female on DMX2.
The device supports RDM on both channels so they both have to have receive circuitry.

RDM on the Enttec is somehow 'undiscovered ground' ... didn't got it to work yet
And even though RDM is supposed to be bi-directional it is an implementation above the DMX layer so the use of a scenesetter 48 the OP asked for won't work that way.
So use DMX1 as input (connect to scenesetter) and use DMX2 as output (and through QLC you can decide weather you want to forward scenesetter input to smx output)
