I want to have a chasers that controls only the intensity of a set of lights (this way I can choose color separate) and to link a tap button so I can tap to the beat of music and it flash on and off accordingly. How do I set this up in the Virtual Console? Does it have to be in a solo frame together?

And what did you try already so that it doesn't work?

Your question is so basic that someone would believe you even did not watch the instruction video's Massimo made...

make some cue's (with only intensity)
put them together in a chase
on vc place a speedial who controls the duration of the steps in the chase
I would add a whole sack of snicksnack
done ...
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

Okay so I have been placing a Speed dial next to my chaser in the virtual console. How do you link it to that chaser? I also read somewhere that the chaser steps have to be set to "common" when creating it is that true? Also I did not see this topic in any of the instruction video's if it is I would rather just watch a video on it.

Hi Dylan,

If you double click the speed dial widget you can set its properties.

In the Functions tab choose the plus button and add the chaser (or sequence etc) you want to control.
You can add more than one chaser if you like. Also it is possible to add a multiplier to further manipulate the chaser speed.

Within the chaser itself, I believe you can have what ever step timing you want, but the speed dial speed will over ride all of them with the values you choose to send. I haven't done much experimenting in this area but it looks like you make quite a range of changes.

If that doesn't work, then please post your workspace and I will have a look.

Cheers

Mark
