Hello all, new user here.... First I will try to keep it short.
I made some test scenes and after that some buttons in virtual console to start and stop them, so far so good.
The problem is in 1 scene I use the prism of my moving heads, when I go to another scene, the prism stays in use.... What am I doing wrong ???
Now a longer version,
My set-up is very simple as I do this just for hobby and fun.
I have 4 FutureLight PHS250 moving heads, 2 FutureLight SC-740 scanners , 2 StudioDue Giant moving heads , 3 Watt RGB laser , 16 old school PAR64 cans (4x4 bar) , an Atomic strobe and for some smoke I have a Swefog Ultimate 300 Oil cracker.
All this runs on an HP 8770w i7 Elitebook workstation laptop with Win7 Ultimate. (a very very very serious laptop) with Enttec dmx dongle.
Not much, but I'm happy with it....
For now I would like to control just the 4 PHS 250 heads and after about 100 hours of trial and error and a lot of QLC+ tutorial watching I have already most functions running as I want.
My main motto is always, first make it work, then make it look pretty.
So I'm now almost at the part to make it look pretty, but again, when I 'call' for a scene with a button the previous scene stays 'on' for some settings.
Mostly with the rotating gobo's and prism
Things I did to try to solve this problem are :
* only using the channels needed for a function
* using 'one shot' buttons
So what can/should I do ?!
I got one more question, is there is simple way to create a basic 4 channel running light other then creating step by step a scene with shutter open/shutter closed for each fixture ?? (it's a LOT of work)
Thanks, and greets from the Netherlands

Prism is set to LTP mode, i.e. keeps the last value. You need to start another function (scene) that will reset it.
http://qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/concept.html#LTP
you may also force channel to HTP: http://qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/chan ... rties.html
4 channel running light: add the fixtures to a group in fixture manager, and then create RGB matrix over them.

Thank you for the fast reply !
I will try the HTP mode. My next party is end of the month, so I have some time to 'play'
Again, thanks to the QLC+ team for providing this awesome software for free, I wish I knew about it before I had wasted hundreds of hours of my time on other free dmx software...

Hi again,
The HTP mode works great, thanks for that info. Although I set it for all the gobo channels as well as the prism, that wasn't working very well hahaha! So now I only have the prism channel set to HTP mode.
Next up is the RGB matrix, really nice function but how do I 'tell' this function where/what my shutter channel is ?!
As I said before, I have used other (freestyler) software before QLC+ , but the only thing I'm missing from Freestyler is the "sine wave" generator. U could dump a sine wave function on any fixture channel and that works awesome for dimmer and/or shutter channels.
Is there something like that in QLC+ ?

I invite you to read the manual...
What you are looking for is EFX and is described here: http://qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/efxeditor.html
The usage of EFX is well illustrated in the video Massimo especially made http://www.qlcplus.org/tutorials.html (Video 7)

hello GGGss,
I'm already working with the EFX editor/generator , that's no problem and it's a fantastic feature.
My question was how to create a running light the easy way instead of programming a lot of scenes.
So mr Jano said to try the RGB matrix to create a running light, but somehow the RGB matrix can't find my shutter channel....
I've watched the tutorial about the RGB matrix and read the manual, but I couldn't find the answer.
Although in the fixture monitor I can see it working, but pressing play/test run doesn't output any dmx data to my fixtures.
