set up my light bar as multiple heads for matrix

I've created my own fixture file for a Showtec Lightbar 12 pixel. this light has 12 rgbw heads per bar. I can use this fixture via the software manually and it all works as it should. The problem I have is when I put in to the Matrix it shows as 1 head not 12 in line.

When added to a channel group I made the group 48 wide 1 high (I am trying to use 4 bars). in channel group is says red 48, green 48, blue 48, white 48. so it seems to understand where the colours are etc. So i'm now confused as to why or what I've done incorrect. Any pointers for me to try and sort greatly appreciated. I understand white won't of use in a matrix.

You need to group the RGBW channels into Heads. http://qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/modeeditor.html
For 48 channel mode, create 12 heads and add related RGBW to respective head.
For the other channels, create heads as needed, add RGBW channels and keep the common channels outside the heads.

I seem to have it working (haven't tested on live yet) but everything is visually ok on laptop apart from the shape of bars on the 2d visualiser. they are appearing as a 3*3 instead of a 1 * 12. is there away of changing?

Also the pixel window is showing the 50 heads and colour fade etc, but the lights in the 2D visualiser don't change colour? are they meant to ?

You seem to attach the same unchanged file (qxf).
It is not possible at the moment to specify layout. It is computed automatically based on dimensions. Fill in the dimensions and it will work.
Also, change group of channel Colour Preset to Colour.

For 2D visualizer to work, click preview button ("play") in the matrix editor. The image shows only preview, you need to make QLC+ actually send the date to output so that it reaches 2D visualizer.

I did fill out dimensions.
I changed colour channels from colour to intensity as per the video? should i change them back?
In the massimo video he has a 4 head bar show as a 4 head bar. so rotating etc gives you a front visualisation of the colours and how they change.
I'll have a look tomorrow, where hopefully I'll be able to rig physically connect up lights to make sure everything else is as it should be.

Typical - just opened QLC+ up to have a last minute play before sleeps, and i got my 12 head bars in visualisation so everything sweet here. Just need to hook up some lights for a live playtime, and that is what tomorrow is for. Cheers bud!
