Movement range efx programms in xy pad

Hello! Sorry for my English ;)

I would like to ask for help in solving the problem:

The settings of the XY pad do not coincide with the actual width (and height) of EFX programs.

During normal work, I use only part of the range of head movements, i.e. in short, so that most of them look ahead.
The problem is that this range "forward" is a very small part of the entire pad xy and that means it's hard to control it accurately, and the pad takes up too much unnecessary space.

1. I set the ranges of specific heads in the xy pad options - it works fine-tuning, but only when no program is running.
2. At the start of any efx programm, the DMX range again covers everything from 0 to 255 and not 125 to 209 as I set it in the pad options.
3. I can change the range of movement with the sliders, but unfortunately again looking ahead is a tiny nail in the middle of the pad.
4. Change off or on the relative does not give anything. At least nothing in my case.
5. I am thinking about top-down limiting the movement of heads, but I am afraid that someday I will need a slightly larger range or I will want to build some effective program with a large number of moves and will be a huge problem.

on this video shows what my problem is:

I hope I have explained my problem well, will you help me?

As a work-around I can suggest to you that
* create fixed cues for the positions of the heads. (Like front middle, front high, front ...)
* Inside these cue's I use the scroll wheel of my mouse to fine tune the exact position of every head in that 'position'
* then use the EFX in relative mode

Going from one position to another is just a matter of selecting the other cue and the EFX will do it's work around that fixed point.

(Setting a base-position using XY is cumbersome ... without zooming of some kind I know)

Unfortunately, what you write about is not my problem.

I am talking about live control of the SIZE of moves on the XY pad.

For example, the efx circle has a size of 30 - and I want to expand it slightly, or make it flatter. Anything.

You can set width and height of the XY pad through the use of an external control.
See: http://qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/vcxypad.html under configuration

The external control can also be a feedback channel. Feedback channels are well documented throughout the forum.
