QLC+ is quite fantastic. I have done three shows on our small stage with it, using both lights and sounds. The graphic Buttons allowed for fairly complex scenes to be initiated by users with little or no experience. Just reed the script and press the button! Bit I digress. I just wondered if anyone out there was using any software to model the lighting they are going to control. Strictly speaking not QLC+ topic but highly associated I think

Search the forum for "3d visualization" or "capture" and you will find plenty of threads. In addition, you might have a look at v5.

I was advised to try "Capture" to model some lighting. Came up to speed very quickly and soon had a bar of lights working. Then came the surprise! I was running QLC+ on my other monitor (forgot to close it) and having seen the term "Art-Net" thought - "why Not?" So I set QLC+ output to Art-Net and found I could operate my "Capture" lights from QLC+. No fuss, no bother. It all worked totally beautifully! Wow! just when will QCLP+ stop amazing me!
