Heya,

So I spent some time playing with things.. Tested with new fixtures and some largeish showfiles for my portable system. Here's my notes so far:

General
- could not save .. only could open files using -o on C/L

Previews
- Layout selection in 2D View isn't like other systems I've used and seems to be less intuitive. Eg .. selection of more than one item was usually pulling from one corner in an empty spot to another spot and everything in the capture rectangle was selected. Or holding CMD while selecting individual fixtures. .. Now what is happening is I select one fixture and move it .. than go select another and start moving it and the first moves with it .. frustrating ;) If this feature was requested .. can it be a preference option so things can work more consistently with other OS selection tools?

- Can't seem to set different heights/angles for some fixtures? RGB panels don't show up on the 3d view .. PAR's do.

- Be nice to right click on a fixture to cut/copy/paste .. etc. whilst building. I kinda see why that may not work .. but not all fixtures in a house universe(es) would be used in all shows. . be nice to only have what i need w/o having to remove things from the existing universe.

- I LIKE the color application tools .. WAY Better ;) Will be able to dump scenes faster I think.

Virtual Console
- Seemed more vivid ;)

Had a few crashes here and there .. but to be expected. Overall it's exciting to see where this is heading. Thanks for all the hard work and effort. ;)

Please elaborate this. Project save is there and it is supposed to be working.

Please define "some fixtures".
Multiple head fixtures are not supported by the 3D preview yet (this is included in "with limitation" that I stated about the 3D)

I don't understand this one.

- Could not save
Every time I clicked the save window .. nothing appeared to happen.. Similarly I couldnt' open files

- Selection
I read the post ... that's a toughie .. I might suggest that your software have the option to use a "Tablet mode" .. might also be worth polling the userbase to see how much tablets are used. I personally use one all the time and I'd LOVE The idea of a "tablet mode" for selection.

- Fixture angles
I figured this out .. was in the UI in a way I hadnt' considered ;)

- Universes and Fixtures
It looks like the tool requires visualization in the 2d/3d of all fixtures that may be in defined universes. I have a portable configuration with many different "Sets" of lights that I may or may not use for a show. Would like the ability to distinctly select which ones I'll have in visualization. For instance .. I have a back truss, front floor, 2 trees and roving spot lights (all DMX) that I am breaking out using ArtNET and some raspis .. If I am at a show where i can't use the tree's or the spots .. it'd be nice to not have them "in scope".

As always great work.. just finished a 4 week tour with a show choir using this tool and IMHO it outperformed (pun intended!) all the other configs and setups ;)

Please check Alpha 2. Should address most of the above.

Makes sense. I'll add an option to include/exclude fixtures in the previews.
