QLC to Arduino via USB without dongle?

Ask a generic question about the usage of QLC+, not related to a particular operating system

I want to use the timeline in QLC to simply change the speed/dimmer of one simple 12 volt motor - by 225 increments - in one direction. The command should be sent into an arduino via USB without any kind of dongle to drive it. The motor controller hardware will be hardwired so there is no need for the usual 3/5 pin DMX connection. Is this possible?
I want to use QLC because I can synchronize and playback to music.
