Hello,
i'm using a USB to DMX adapter (with a FTDI FT232RL chip) and Linux (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS).
Every about 1 minute or more, the adapter stops sending data to DMX for about 5 seconds causing a blackout, than starts working again.
This happens also with nothing connected, with only the line terminator.
Can you help me in undesrtanding as to solve this problem?

Antonio, can you post more details, from your Ubuntu system logs and your USB FTDI adapter?.

Antonio,

can you observe your system to check if there are no CPU usage peaks? USB-DMX adapters without microprocessor (e.g. Enttec USB DMX pro has one, Open DMX doesn't) are sensitive to CPU usage.
If some other program uses all CPU, QLC+ can't do its thing.

Does the DMX monitor show correct data?

Is QLC+ user interface responsible during the blackout?

I tested this morning QLC+ with my USB RS-485 FTDI dongle and all worked well on a Xubuntu 16.04.
