Hello, I am using a Freestyler USB-DMX adapter which works perfectly under Windows 7 (well, maybe a very small lag).
However, when I run QLC on my windows 10 pc, it doesn't work - I get an error "An error occurred while trying to open the selected device line ..." and of course nothing works.
I thought that it might have been the driver was faulty, however the USB-DMX adapter works on another software - Freestyler, without a problem. Problem is I dont like Freestyler and I love QLC so I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light as to how I can fix this.
What I have tried so far:
- uninstall and reinstall QLC
- set compatibility mode to Windows 7
neither of which worked. Please Help!
Thanks in advance!

I have further information to add to this issue ...
I found that if you install QLC+ on a cleanly installed Windows 10 pc, it works with the uDMX interface without a problem.
It seems to only be a problem with a Windows PC that was upgraded from Windows 7 or 8.
Could that mean that their are some other drivers/dlls that QLC+ is calling that may not have been updated during a Windows 7/8 to Windows 10 upgrade?
Any clues?
Thanks for any assistance.
