Hi, what I have in mind is the following:
- On hardware desks like the Chamsys Magicq (no, I don't like the software version!) appears on the screen a window with all parameters essential for the fixtures or group called up, eg. moving heads brings up pan, tilt, color, gobo and so on. The rotary controlers and buttons round the screen correspond directly with the shown elements.
- is it possible to make a kind of window or frame with variable content? This would give us a "fixed" part with some faders and buttons for dimmers, speed, scenes and so on, and a "variable" part with direct access to special functions only appearing when needed.
I think this is more clear than flipping through several pages and hope I have described the problem fairly understandable.
Don't think it makes sense to depict or reflect a hardware desk completely in software, but maybe it's worth a discussion.
