Timed show mode opening up a scene for testing

I ran into this problem last year if you have a scheduled show with clock function and you hit play it freezes all scenes, my work around last year was simple desk but if you forget to clear any sliders you touch then it the show that channel doesn't work. So I am asking to be able to unlock a scene from the play or show mode.
I want to be able to run a test scene for my pyro pilot lite before the show
