SPI frequency

Hi,
yesterday i downloaded the image for the raspberry and tested a little bit. First of all thanks a lot to the developer! It seems to be very good for my application. The only problem i encounteres so far is the spi speed. In the In/Out-Tab of QLC+ i can select the SPI interface and set Frequencies of 1,2,4,8... MHz in its settings window. But everytime i open the settings the frequency is reset to 1 MHz.
Somebody already mentioned that here viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8567&p=37156&hilit=1mhz#p37158
Is it a bug or am i doing somthing wrong?

The reason why i need an SPI frequency higher then 1MHz is my plan to build an SPI-to-WS2811 converter with an AVR. With that i want to controll about 400 RGB pixels spread on 4 stripes.
