I have been using QLC+ for a little over a year and I love it. I run lights and sound for a band and have automated it as much as possible up to this point, but I have a question about show designer vs chases. I have manually created a ton of individual scenes, loaded them into chases, then stacked scenes and chases in other chases to create master song chases. This is a long process, but it has worked for the most part. What I would like to know is do other users who are trying to automate the shows as much as possible, due to my focus being on the sound most of the time, prefer to use shows or chases as I have done? The show designer has been a little tricky for be to figure out, but frankly I have not spent a lot of time working on it as all of the lights are about to be replaced with much better and more functional lights. So before I begin my master rewrite of all of the songs what process would you use, and are there any video tutorials that really get into the workings of show designer? I have seen all of the official tutorials and done a lot of youtube searches, but have not really found any good tutorials that cover how to set up a show.
Attached is one of my most recent show workspaces.
Thanks in advance.
