They didn't finish the code yet as I understand. And that's Linux version. I'm afraid Windows would be even harder.

The chip is from Microchip Technologies, which I think is so far not supported. Their windows drivers are not updated since XP, and are not signed.

From the first look it seems that the devices is not supported by current code.
In order to support it, new plugin has to be written, and that requires access to he device by one of the developers.
Summary: my guess is that support will not be added anytime soon.
The fastest solution is to buy one of the supported devices. They usually come also with up-to-date and signed drivers.
Find a device that you like and ask here again to confirm the support (before buying).
