Copy a scene into a new project

Is it possible copy a scene from a workspace to another workspace with the same fixture?

I haven't tried this, but I'm betting you could copy the scene from the text of the .qxw document and paste it into the new document.

Just be sure that you have the same fixtures defined and addressed exactly alike in both workspaces. Otherwise QLC will probably just blank out the channel values and you'll have to do everything from scratch.

Has anyone tried this?

I was wondering this same question previously. Our setup is relatively small (only 60 channels or so, across a dozen fixtures), so I just recreated it from scratch. However, if there is a method (even if it's a bit of a hack - copying text from one .QXW to another .QXW is a hack, IMHO), I'd be willing to try it!

I was hoping to give this a try when I got home last night, but my water heater had different plans. No damage, but still a pricey replacement @_@

Barring any more large appliance failures I should be able to give this a shot using the new release of QLC.
