This is a new feature I would like to see, and from what I understand should not be difficult to implement. I'm specifically looking for this in the Raspi version.

I would like to be able to record an infrared remotes function and store for playback later via a DMX ch.

Example:
Create an "IR fixture" and assign a DMX ch
Set record button
Use a home stereo receiver (or whatever remote for what you want to control) power button is pressed and the IR emitter / receiver is picked up through GPIO ports sensor (requires small emitter receiver circuit)
Click done
Activate the DMX ch at full
Playback initiates on the IR

Uses:
QLC plus could now get into a market of home automation via OSC and iPad control.
Currently I control a custom RV systems with the RAspi and QLC all lighting, relays, contactors, fans etcs...
I would also be able to control all integrated AV equipment easily without the use of RS232 programming like crestron. Basically this could be a DIY system for complete home theater automation all via IR recording and playback to almost any external devices that previously had remotes.

Please consider this feature :-)
Thanks
