Hi,
I am new to QLC+ and DMX in general. (been trying to get my setup working for about 3 weeks now) (first tried Freestyler but no luck, QLC+ appealed a lot more to me and I would be able to use it on a mac OSX instead of windows)

I want to run a show with 6 x Martin MAC500, 2 x Martin ROBOSCAN518, 1 x Martin CX2, about 20 PAR56 on a dimmerpack (4 channels), 1 x Showtec PIXELTRACKPRO (160 channels), 6 x RGB LEDPAR56, some foggers from different brands

I am trying to use QLC+ 4.8.4 on a macbook pro running Mac OSX 10.6.8 and by using an open DMX USB from Enttec or the DMXking Ultra DMX Micro usb...)

Until now, I got the two dongles connected and managed to get the ultraDMXmicro working on QLC+ in windowsXP through parralels desktop (QLC+ under OSX 10.6.8 does not find any of the two connected dongles or does not make my fixtures work) and I have (finally) some lights moving but 2 out of 4 mac500 seem to be all messed up with their channels (ex: when you move the slider for shutter, the pan will work. etc)
Is there a way I can reset them and install new MAC500 fixtures? Or anything else I can do?

Is there someone who can help me? I have been trying for a few weeks now and it is driving me crazy!
It is so frustrating to finally having this setup and fixtures and not being able to make them move ;-(

thanks in advance,
callancorreo

PS1: I am still looking for a fixture for the Showtec Pixeltrack pro. If someone can help me with this it would be awesome!

PS2: and once I get things fully working I am wondering if I could use a Tascam US2400 as a DAW controller?

So, to recap:
- you're using Windows XP, which is 14 years old, in a virtual machine on OSX 10.6.8 which is 5 years old
- you're using QLC+ 4.8.4 which is 9 months old. Now there's 4.10.1

Can you at least update QLC+ and try again ?
As for the TASCAM, it is a MIDI device and I expect it to work with no effort. Is it listed in the Input/Output panel ?

I am only trying to make it work... therefore I tried using windowsXP (which I do not like at all (I haven't used in years!) since QLC+ does not work on OSX as promised... (which is why I chose for QLC+ in the first place)
as for QLC+ 4.8.4: this version is the latest that still functions on those OS (later versions ask for an update of the OS) I also found this on some forums and I did try to install all the later versions. At least this one recognizes the dongles.
(I can not update my OSX because then I might loose my working version of adobe illustrator, photoshop and indisign.)

unfortunately my funds are not limitless ;-)

Is there a way I can just update the fixture library?
