Hi folks. Well I was sure I had TouchOSC working correctly. I was starting to configure some things as a test. Then all of a sudden I did not have communication anymore even though the iPad and the laptop were both still connected to the network. Eventually I rebooted QLC+ and then it started working again. I figured I had done something wrong but a few clicks later it stopped working again.

Are there any known problems with setting up OSC and then losing connectivity for no apparent reason? That would make it pretty scary to plan to use. I would love to use it but I have to get it to the point where it is stable since I will have someone else operationg the iPad who won't know what to do if it doesn't work anymore.

Assuming I figure out what's going on with the above mentioned issue, I have another question: Once I have everything working I will want to completely configure a set of screen pages using the TouchOSC editor for my use.; I think I know how to do that. But I would like someone to explain to me what I have to do within QLC+ once I have that new profile built and loaded in TouchOSC?

Thanks,
Rob

UPDATE: Here is some more info. When I lose connectivity, if I just switch to another adapter in the 'mapping' screen and then back to the OSC adapter, it starts working again until the next time I lose it.

OK, I keep taking little bites at progress. Not sure why but it seems that every time I change something in the profile or change profiles, I need to flip to another adapter and then back to OSC. But once I stop making those kinds of changes it stabilizes and keeps working.

So I have moved a little further out and now have another question: I am trying to get the OSC button on the iPad to show the status of the buttons in QLC. I have a feedback channel set up. But I am getting confused about toggle buttons and push buttons in TouchOSC. It seems if I use toggle buttons I have to make a bunch of button presses to get things turned on and off and the highlighting on the button doesn't match the true status of the button in QLC. If I use Push buttons in OSC I can only get the correct status in OSC when setting the button in QLC to Flash mode. I can make that work when controlling the buttons from OSC but when controlling them from the laptop they won't stay on since they're set as Flash buttons.

Soooo, how do I configure a button in QLC and OSC so that it's a toggle button and lights up in OSC when on and goes out when off?

Thanks,
Rob
