Finally I had a chance to dig a little deeper into the usage of the XB-Wave and to update the Fixture Definition, see the file attached. As a workaround for the limitation that the Fixture Monitor can only display one color channel I've added a (virtual) Dual-Head Mode as suggested in this forum.
Be warned, the manual diverts somehow from the reality, this definition is built on a hands-on experience with the fixture.

Hi webdb2,
So the difference between the manual and reality is:
Colors 1: 180-255 has an extra strobe mode regardless of channel 3 (strobe speed),
Colors 2: 198-224, 225-255 does not have rotation regardless of channel 4 (rotation speed) value?
All very odd.
