Function adding a Video

Hi. I recently discovered that it is possible to add video in a Show.
For some reason nobody is talking about this amazing new improvement on the blog. The feature isn't even mentionned in the help section.
As I use QLC+ in a show for theaters including interaction between actors and the screen, I was really glad about it. But for some reason few things are not working. I won't go through the playback issues (mp4 is not showing the image).
But I REALLY want to ask about the play/pause of the show. Wherever you go in your timeline, the video always starts back at the beginning. Huge problem for me as in rehearsals I would like to start the show anywhere. Having the lights, sounds and video beginning at the cursor position.
Is it me doing something wrong or is it still in development and unfortunately nothing can be done at this point ?

This "new improvement" is in QLC+ since one year. It's not mentioned (except on the 4.8.0 release annoucement) because by default Linux packages do not deliver it.
Plus, as you have noticed, there are still things to fix.

General rule: when reporting issues about audio and video, it is necessary to say which operating system you're using and, in case, information about the hardware (e.g. audio card, video card, etc)

One single clip for an entire show is not a good idea in any case.
You should split your video in "acts" and play them in parallel with your cues. In this way it's easier to edit a show.

In any case, the QLC+ focus is not on audio nor video. QLC+ is not a DAW. I won't even hope to have a seek functionality on videos that can jump on a precise frame. QLC+ relies on non-QLC+ code to play audio and video, so every bug depends on 3rd party software.
