Chaser preview

I am busy setting up what is becoming the most technically challenging musical theatre I have done yet. One thing that would improve my programming time is a preview option on a cue list.

In non-running mode with this option turned on and I select an item in the cue list then that cue item would become live and be output via the dmx so one can see the effect. Currently the ony way do sort of achieve that is to create a cue list widget (even if the chaser will only be used as a function), go into run mode, locate and click on the step you want to see and press enter.

You can also leave the chaser and find the function and click on that.

In both these cases you are leaving your editing of the chaser. What one does when editing these complex cue lists and chasers, is to constantly review a few steps to see if the flow is correct.

In this case I would ignore all fade in and out times and make the step's duration preview mode always infinite.

Well, in the Function editor, if you have a Chaser selected, then you can select one of the embedded functions and click the Play button at the top of the Chaser Editor. Is this not what you're looking for?
