Hi and thank you in advance if you can help.
i am trying to get to grips with this and i think doing ok (maybe i will even be able to contribute to the forum one day :)

the trouble i am getting is some of my fixtures wont stop when told. for instance i have a chauvet sweeper and fallout both in what i have called a blue scene where all my rgb bars and lights are blue. this works fine but i can never turn off the fall out or sweeper if i select another scene or go to the virtual console and toggle the blue button i have made on or off, the rgb bars i have do as they are asked.

i hope this is clear enough and someone may be able to help.

Thank you

Hi Mike,

I'm not 100% sure from your description of your issue but try - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8789#p38334

Sounds like a similar issue regarding LTP with fixtures like moving heads, scanners ect.

If you can describe your issue in more depth please, Qlc version windows or mac and hardware ect.

regards

Thank you Alex, going to try the link you gave me. doesnt really fix the problem but it is a work around :)

using a mac on the latest qlc+ chauvet fallout and 6 spot are the ones that just wont turn off when they should lol, they just keep on trucking but i guess if i make a button that will lower all the faders then i can incorporate it into the program. im sure it will complicate things later but lets give it a go.

thanks again

Hi Mike,

Always happy to help with ideas to problems. Sorry if it's not a fix for you.
You talk about making a button. If you intended to use make a scene to force blackout it's best to auto run the scene when the virtual console starts ( See Qlc manual on how to do this ) instead of trying to add it to chases.

I had a look at the Chauvet fallout pdf DMX chart. I see the blackout on channel 1. Look into the way the profile is written, also have you tried to change the channel properties on that channel to be HTP if it is set to LTP in the profile? You may find this works. Study the Qlc manual on how to change channels to HTP/LTP.
Same may apply for the 6 spots you also have.
Maybe post the fixture profile so it can be checked?

A work round may also be possible with the solo frame in virtual console using a button to force levels on channels to blackout.

Sorry I can't help further.

Thanks again Alex for the time you have put into this :) very kind.
i have tried the htp / ltp however this just tells the fall out to never stop lol.

ive tried to fine the profile to check the settings but i just cannot seem to find them on the mac, the library where qlc puts them i think is hidden grrrrrrrrrr. when i have time i shall try harder to find them.

whilst i have you here is it possible to play a set (im a dj) and have a programme audio activated do you know? like sound to light but actually on a beat perhaps within a given frequency range?

thanks again for your time and knowledge.
