I am trying to create a patch following the tutorial on RGB Matrices. For some reason when I add an RGB panel to the 2D Fixture Monitor it doesn't appear to render properly. It looks nothing like in the video. Sometimes I can't see anything and other times it is just a small blob. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I also don't have a "Test Run" button at the bottom of the RGB Matrix window? I am using version 4.9.1 and get the same results in Windows 7 and Ubuntu 15.04.
Thanks

Hi,
For the 2D monitor check what size (Physical dimensions ), you made the panel when you set it up. I often find that when I use the monitor it places each row of the matrix as a separate fixture which I then have to arrange on the screen.
The play button for RGB matrix, is next to the fixture group box near the top.

Thanks very much this is helpful. I'm wondering if there is anyway to do a panel that is 4 universes long by 1 pixel high. Basically a string that is 680 pixels long. It looks like the RGB panel is limited to 170 pixels wide. I could do a 170x4 RGB panel however I really want the effects to be rendered over a 1 pixel wide panel. Any thoughts on a workaound for this?
Thanks
Thanks

Didn't realise that there was a limit on this, but I had a quick look and although there is a limit on the number of columns there isn't on the rows. I think that if you set it up this way all the effects should still work for you.
