please do a "reset channel" underneath each fader, to give me also the chance of single resets:

You can create a reset button in VC to reset a VC widget slider.

I don't think Simple Desk was really designed to run a show. Thats what the virtual console is for. Thats why theres only a clear all on simple desk. The simple desk is good for troubleshooting DMX but not running your light show. If your unfamiliar on how to setup Virtual Console I recommend links below to get you started.

Yes, but,
it often happens that you want to overwrite some channels manually avoiding the obedience of the signal send by Virtual Console.
This is a possibility that many standard consoles have and who also QLC +, and would return very useful to be able to reset a single channel or all channels of a fixture without resetting everything.

I was about to write a post wondering the same thing.

Example:
I have 8 par RGB with various functions of colors (red, green, etc ..). If you want, during a live show, one of 8 par remains off (or other....) without answering functions of virtual console, the only way is to act on simple desk.

If Im fallowing the situation correctly.... So basically you have a scene your triggering in VC and you want to override one or more channel(s) in the scene on the fly during live show? Is this correct?

If so creating LTP loopbacks for scenes and leave your Fixtures set to HTP. this allows you to trigger scenes and override individual channel levels independently using widget faders and buttons.

I do not know in advance which channel of which fixture i will have to do manually. I will know only during the live show.
So I should do this for all channels of all the fixtures ?

Now the Simple Desk QLC + works perfectly without using even a second programming.
It would only be useful to have the X to remove the single channel.

O I see. Then creating a test project with just a couple sider matrixes and a couple button matrixes that could be reused for strictly troubleshooting I guess would be out of the question.

yes.

thx Lorenzo, very good explanation. Seems you've also enough practical experience to see the "missing links" and needs of bring sth. to a easier, satisfactory conclusion...
-> like ma scanco's freeze functionality. (btw. we try now to make one workin' out of two defectives...)

this freeze/unfreeze channel could be also the ultima ratio e.g. to secure flamethrowers...
so my 2nd wish is here:
please keep the priority especially of VC flashbutton below that

besides it peeves the must of recreation complex settings by experiments w/ unknown fixtures, if you don't have time or are unsure how to build correlated VC handles, step by step

Heres the templet i use.

I have frames with 2 frames with 2 button matrix and 2 fader matrix. gray= HTP, red= LTP. to access/ toggle between simple change the stack order. red fallows scenes and gray fallows/ overrides scene channels. so in live show gray is always on top.

[edit] sorry wrong project file. Ill post the mapped temp as soon as I find it. I is posable to do everything you guys want Im pretty sure.

If you don't want help from me just say so. No one is forcing you to comment back. I don't see anyone else trying to help with a solution to your guys issue. None of the developers have commented that they are even considering adding the feature you're requesting I don't believe. which indicates to me it's probably way down the line on priority list or will never happen. No hard feelings if you want me to drop off this thread.

This feature has been requested already and would be nice to have, but there is no deadline on any feature request, so in the meantime, feel free to use fancy workarounds.

I'll take care of this request.

The only downside is that the Simple Desk tab will take even more time to load. On a PC it is almost irrelevant, but on the Raspberry Pi it is already unacceptable.

Manfred, what the heck are you writing ??
Seriously, I don't understand a word of what you have written. And moreover, please stick to QLC+ topics.

I AM coding QLC+ 5, but QLC+ 4 is not dead and as long as users raise issues and must-have needs (see UART, GPIO, forced LTP, etc), or they have requests backed up by at least other few users, QLC+ 5 can wait, since my doctor didn't say that I MUST do it.

so, if you want to be cooperative, build QLC+ from sources and test the feature I've implemented for you.

vou should perhaps read sometimes more than 3 lines of a good mentioned mail....
and bear w nearby test right now, on oSL I've a running qlcplus-master_20150909-0800utc-qt5....
but on gentoo I had serious trouble w qtcreator, besides - I consider about some "total freeze" prevention if not even SysRQ's responding ...
but qt4 build is also fine here!!!

Reset buttons are on the bottom of each channel. Exactly like your screenshot.

If you don't see them, then you're not building the up-to-date GIT sources.

qt5 rpm is fine, WELL DONE!
better not reset to Zero
my appreciation award richly deserved...
mumbles too, as it's one of the beautiest consoles I've noticed here, I promise, I'll have a look behind.
I don't know this fixture, but Output Monitor is enough for me...

That about Flashbuttons - maybe in 3weeks, I have to do now exhibition scheduling
yours faithfully, Manfred
