Hi,

I want to use an audio trigger in my project. I am using the JACK soundserver (Linux).
I can configure my audio trigger, but when I start the audio trigger, I get the message that there occured a error while initializing.
My notebook is running on Debian Jessie 8.1. My QLC+ version is 4.9.1.
Has anyone an idea what to do?
I really don't know any solution... :|

Thanks,

Hi, audio input works with ALSA.
I have never tried with JACK.

Can you please share the relevant information to reproduce what you're trying to do ? e.g. which packets to install, particular configurations, etc..

Check your jack connections in qjackctl. You could connect the audio player output to system playback.

Hi,

I want to use the sound input of my notebook (the 3,5 mm jack) to control the audio trigger, which controls a cue list.
ALSA was not working for me because the sound quality of the input was horrible.

I don't know if this is important, but QLC+ is not shown in the connections window of qjackctl.
I have tried to connect the sound input to the sound output and I heard the sound, but this didn't help.

These are the packets, which I installed: jackd jack-tools ant fftw3 qjackctl
My configuration is nearly the standard configuration. For this, see the screenshots. (Sorry because of the German)
In QLC+, I tried using the default soundcard and the soundcard with the exact description as input. This made no difference.

If I forgot something, please tell me.
Thanks,

The audio input is Line-In or Mic-In?. Maybe activating in alsamixer Capture for Line In or Mic it should work.

Hi,

I think I am using Line-In, but I am not sure. What is the difference?
Sorry, I am relatively new to this.
And in the Alsamixer I only found "Capture". But I can't change something at this one. (Screenshot)

Thanks,

Hi,
Have you tried to click on capture padlock icon?. I tried on my system and it works.

Hi,

I am able to lock and unlock "Capture", but I am still not able to change anything in the "Capture"-part.

Hi,
JACK is more complex than other sound servers. I recommend you before trying to connect JACK with QLC+ test if you are able to capture sound from Line-In or Mic-In and record it or hear the audio captured through your speakers.

Hi,

Yes, I am able to record the sound input I want to use and I can also listen to it directly with my speakers.
Or do you mean something different?
