Hello,
I am an absolute beginner on QLC+ with no experiences in computer science what so ever, so i thought maybe some of you guys could help me with my little Problem.
I try to use an uDMX device on Windows 7 64 bit. Since QLC+ does not support uDMX on Windows yet (http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/udmxoutput.html), i try to get it running via Artnet.
So i downloaded a virtual Artnet node, that should translate the Artnet signal to the uDMX device (http://www.illutzmination.de/udmx-artnet.html?&L=1).
Problem is, I have no Idea how to set up QLC+ and the Artnet node to communicate.
Lots of possible IP Adresses that are not alowed to be the same in the Sender (QLC+) and the Reciever (uDMXArtnet node) when running on the same machine (http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/artnetplugin.html)
I tried different IPs and configurations in both QLC+ and uDMX-Artnet but non of it delivered a signal in the virtual node. In the link above there is stated, that I should use the "loopback device" when i need to communicate with an ArtNet node running in the same machine, but how? If i set the output to a loopback, i dont get an Artnet output anymore. And i thougt that is what i need!? (of course i tried it nevertheless)
Im shure it is a small thing and i am just to foolish. Please help me! ^^
Best regards!

Hi,
in network terms, the loopback device is the ArtNet output with IP 127.0.0.1.
You should try that.

Thanks mcallegari,
unfortunally i allready tried that. QLC+ detects the node under that IP and sends data just fine. The node however can not find that IP.
Thanks

Do you have any idea of what that "cannot find ip 127.0.0.1" means whasoever ?
127.0.0.1 is always present on a computer, unless you explicitely disable the interface.
I know it sounds weird, but have your tried with 2 computers ? One with QLC+ sending ArtNet and the other doing just ArtNet->uDMX conversion.

Problem solved
I tried an Artnet node that comes with Freestyler. It works fine with QLC+ too. Name: "Art-Net to DMX "
One fixture (out of 6) does a little unintentional blinking once in a while and acts a little weired. Could this have something to do with the refresh rate?
The problem does not occure with a classical lightning console.
Thanks a lot, greate support here!
