Hi!
I had a quick look at the qlc+ project thus I'm very happy having found an open solution for sending DMX from PC.
Although it seems to be a great and handy tool I'm missing encoder wheels as you find them on many professional consoles. In my opinion it feels more natural to control pan, tilt, gobo rotation/index, prism, etc. by encoder wheel. At least I'm more used to, since I usuallay work with desks like hog or MA.
So I'd highly appreciate if one will go for it, since I don't have the skills.
Thanks a lot!

True but still not the same as an encoder wheel. Encoder wheels don't jump from 100% to 0% (255 to 0) as soon as they reach the end stop. Actually they don't even have an end stop. Knobs and encoders are two different methods of entering values. I guess incremental rotary encoders are usually used as hardware electro-mechanics parts in desks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotary_encoder

yeah, like on ma scanco...
-but - like on Speed-Dials usage - it's just nice, if you could turn it by finger, but my touch doesn't do that sure
+but mousewheel is fine...
- I personally grade circle acting operating elements as visual adaption in compulsion,
and would like to say: a flexible Button Matrix, which is "thinkin" with me, gives me more benefits, a sequence of 256 Buttons could by styled in many ways...
