Sorry if this should be in the fixtures forum instead
I have an old pair of scanners - JB Systems The Winner II. QLC currently has a fixture for this model, one I added myself years ago.
I would like to revisit this fixture as it has a problem. It can't be turned off. I've learned that when a scene is turned off, all that happens is that intensity channels are set to 0.
These scanners don't have a separate intensity-channel. Instead the Gobo channel must be set to 0 = blackout. I could specify the Gobo channel as an intensity type. However, this seems both wrong and it'll miss the image representation of the gobos.
What to do?
EDIT: I should add that "Stopped" in the shutter channels simply means that it's not changing colors or gobos.
"JB's The Winner" - Same channel is used for both intensity and gobo

Fixed and simple -
Been running some tests as I have some old abstract twister4 lights that have two DMX channels.
The first channel is a mirror dish and the second DMX channel 0-5% is the Lamp Blackout setting then 5%-90% is control for a Colour wheel combined with gobos stepper motor then finally 90-100% is Strobe from slow to fast.
The profile is written with both channels set to be LTP so perfect for the test.
Your winner is setup in a similar way to the twister4 as DMX channel 2 has the blackout at 0%, so make it type gobo as normal in the fixture profile. This is type is LTP by default.
I'm using Qlc OSX 4.9.1 with a Artnet DMX king 4 universe network interface hardwired directly to the computer for this test.
I've found a better way to get these types of lights to go to blackout or to make any LTP style channel go to 0% ( Or a value that works better eg pan and tilt set to face a stage point )
The fix -
Simply make a scene as I said before containing ALL lights and include ALL LTP faders. Leave all faders at 0% ( unless setting pan tilts home positions, don't forget to return any faders on the light to 0% if used to see heads position during positioning ). Now name this scene what ever you like eg "Zero" or "Home".
With the scene highlighted or still in edit mode click on the Green flag. This scene will now start every time you switch to live mode. Forces all the LTP to go to the setting in the scene every time a function is switched off.
Now my Twister4 's go to blackout after switching of a function button in the virtual console
This should do the same for your winners.
Enjoy the good times !!!
