I have a set of RGBW Led light bars Blizzard StormChasers...
I want to set the control channel to always be a certain level. I.E. The mode channel, I want its default DMX value to always be 52. I can figure a way to work around it, but I wanted to check with you guys to see how you have handled this situation and to be pointed in the right direction if I am missing something.

Thanks for all you guys do!

Hi,

What I'd do is set a constant Channel Modifier on the channel you want to lock. (an horizontal line @ value 52)

This is done in a workspace, not directly in the fixture definition :)

I figured that is probably what I would need to do.

Do you just set a cue up in the simple desk to set the control channel at 52? Then that channel always takes priority in every stack/chase? As long as I have the control channel set to HTP?

Or does the simple disk always take priority of a channel?

I did not write "Cue" nor "Simple Desk".

Your proposition it to have a background cue or a background scene running with the channel @ value 52, this will work too. As long as no other function touches this channel. But you'll have to run your cue/scene/whatever every time you run QLC+.
