Output freeze with FX5 device

Hi there,

I had a severe problem using a FX5 device this weekend.

What I did:
Connecting a FX5 (Digital Enlightment) Device to QLC+ Universe 1 as In and Out. Into the device I fed a DMX Light Console (DJ-X 16 from Starville, but should not be the cause). Outwards I connected several RGB pars (~10), bars (~4) and Dimmers (~8). Then I set up some presets and mapped them to my console.

What happened:
After $random timeintervall, the output wasn't affected by my console anymore, altough the controls were. Manually using them with the mouse didn't work either. When I tried to stop live mode, the application hung and crashed. Replace $random with timeintervalls between 2 minutes and 4 hours, in which the console was used constantly.

This happened ~10 times this weekend on two different PCs. Both were on Win7 and QLC+ 4.8.2

Edit: I should mention, that this happened independently of the project setup, as I had two completely different projects which had the same issue

Hi,
i had the same problems on my notebooks with Windows XP and Windows 7 and FX5.
I changed to linux lubuntu 14.04. 64-bit and the newest version of qlc+ and the problems gone.
I'm not a linux-freak. It was very easy for me to change. Download the iso-file, burned on a DVD and installed parallel to windows on the same notebooks.
I hope the problems are gone in the future.
