Hi guys,

I would like to ask you for advice. Is it possible to add ArtNet node to QLC+ manually (insert IP address manually)? Unfortunately, the node I am using right now (MA NSP) is not discovered automatically although I can ping it and control it from an another software where it is possible to add nodes manually. Do you know a way how to set the IP address for ArtNet node manually?

Thanks

Hi, in the next QLC+ version it will be possible to set an IP address for a universe.
Meaning that the whole universe will be sent in unicast UDP.
If that's what you're looking for, then it's already available on GIT.
If you're using Windows, you can already test it with this: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3135
OSX version will be available shortly.

However, it is still not possible to manually add nodes, as if they comply with the ArtNet standard, they should reply to the nodes discovery.

Hi Massimo,

thanks for your advice that is exactly what I was looking for! So it works for me now in 4.9.0 using the manual setting of the IP address. Although, I was a bit afraid when I was not able to change the whole IP address and a part of if it was not correct - there was a text box only for the last byte, but I needed to change the third one as well - it may be because of the mask which is in my case 255.255.254.0.

I do not know why the nodes discovery does not work. I think the node should comply with ArtNet standard (it is this one http://www.actlighting.com/pdf/ma/NSPe01.2005.pdf). But thanks anyway.
