Copied from another thread by request....

It appears something was introduced in 4.8.5 with OSC output destinations. I have been working with OSC commands and have run into an issue with OSC enabled universes. In 4.8.4 it works fine but using 4.8.5 when I activate a fixture the values will not go back to zero. I have attached a test workspace. In this workspace there is one dimmer with one scene and one button on the virtual console. The output of the first universe is an osc network. In 4.8.4 I can click away and watch the value jump from 0 to 255 to 0. In 4.8.5 once I click the button the DMX channel never returns to 0.

Hi,

The monitor (both 2D Monitor and DMX monitor) is not updated when the function is stopped.
This is indeed a bug, and has been fixed on GIT.

Good news: the value is correctly output on the OSC output. It's also updated on the simple desk.

There may be more to it unless your fix took care of this...

After reading your post I tried changing the button to toggle instead of flash. For the first couple of times I tried it, the simple desk did indeed go back to 0. Then after toggle it on then off several times (4-5) the simple desk would also latch at 255.

You are right: simple desk is not updated, like the monitor.
Simple to test:
-In virtual console, Activate the function
-Go to simple desk, see 255
-Go to virtual console, deactivate the function
-Go to simple desk, see 255 still there
-If you click on "reset universe", it will go to 0.

I maintain that the OSC output is unaffected, I just tested it :) OSC plugin outputs 0, simple desk AND monitor may display wrong values.

All of this is BEFORE the fix, now both simple desk and monitor are fixed.

Thanks, don't hesitate if you find any other issue :)

Great thanks, I admit I had not run it through the OSC monitor. As long as the OSC output is good I can ignore the values in the monitor. I'm getting ready to do another show and I want to start controlling at least some of the sound cues from QLC+ so that I have a single cue stack. QLC+ does have audio cues but QLab just can't be beat in this area.
