Hello,
I'm trying to get QLC to follow a beat clock generated by Traktor DJ Software on OSX. I am routing the beat clock to the apple IAC Driver and enabling it as an input in QLC but I get no signal in QLC. I can verify that Traktor is putting out the beat clock by using a Midi Monitor.
I was successful at using apples network midi driver to send the beat clock from my OSX laptop to another Windows 7 Laptop running QLC and Bonjour/rtpMIDI and was able to get QLC to recognize the Beat Clock. I suspect this might be a OSX issue.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?
Thanks!
Jim
Traktor Midi Beat Clock not being received by QLC+ on OSX
Unfortunately I don't have a Mac, nor Traktor, nor a way to test this.
The OSX code for beat clock seems to be OK though.
When you start the clock on Traktor, do you see any joystick blinking in the QLC+ input/output panel ?

No blinking joystick on the OSX QLC.
I tried another experiment outputting the beat clock from Ableton Live 9 to the apple IAC driver and had no success with that either.
I had the same negative results using Waveclock.
I've tried a few different "Midi patch bay" type applications to see if I could route the beat clock in another manner but it seems like nothing works.
OSC works and I can see the joystick for OSC when I am using it.

Ok, I'll try Waveclock. It seems the most basic one. But I cannot make promises on this. My OSX box (iATKOS ML2) has serious issues with everything I tried: audio, USB, installing applications....almost everything.
It's still a miracle that I can even build QLC+

I think I have found something, but unfortunately I cannot test it since Waveclock crashes on my crappy OSX box.
So, in a totally exceptional way, I'm sharing a build for you to test:

Please let me know if it does the magic

Awesome !
If you have the chance, please test also MIDI notes, control change and program change.
Thanks !
