What Break out wings for control are you guys using? I was just wandering what works good with QLC+. I thought about incorporating this in our setup at church but thought it would be easier for the users if there was hardware for them to interface with.
Thanks
Break out Wings
What do you mean by "break out wings" ?
If you mean external controllers, well, as far as I know, Behringer BCF2000 and Korg nanoKontrol 2 work quite well.
The first is a little bit expensive cause of motorized faders. If you don't need them then the nanoKontrol is around €50. It's a tiny toy but it does its job !

Also if you have old DMX console with MIDI output, you can repurpose it as control surface.
(and still have it for backup purposes). Note that the usefulness of the control surface depends on the console's MIDI implementation.
Examples are:
- Behringer LC2412 - almost all knobs&faders are usable
- Showtec ShowMaster 24 - only buttons are usable (the faders are inaccessible)

Thanks Guys yes External Control is what I meant. Our main board doesn't have DMX control so i wanted to use QLC+ and some sort of External control to run our DMX lights we have basic LED lights and 4 chauvet Moving lights. The moving lights aren't used very much. The LED's we want to use every week for fill and mood lighting.
Thanks again
Thanks again
Veering off course from what previous posts have said, a device such as an iPad or other tablet can work quite well for controlling, especially sliders. These can be used to send MIDI signals wirelessly or via cables if you put a bit of effort in
